Why are you giving advice on Wallet on Fire?

We all go to school and learn all the fancy stuff, but forget about financial literacy. Our relationships with money are varied and with a little knowledge and insight, we can improve this and lead better lives. My passion for this niche was triggered when I learnt that I've been doing it wrong, and took a few learnings from some of the top financial literature, only to see my life take a turn for the better.

What is your favorite credit card?

I'm not a big fan of credit cards but my best has to be the Chase Sapphire Preferred Card.

What is one piece of advice you'd give people that want to get their finances under control?

Start with the basics, as it is not rocket science. Understand that financial behavior is mainly emotional and not logical, so find a way of keeping this in check. Have goals, both short term, and long term and understand something has to give way, if you're to achieve these goals. Lastly, leverage time, especially if you're young and don't miss out on the fantastic power of compounding.
