There are over 2,500 healthcare and wellbeing products that customers can buy using the money saved in their Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs).
You’ve got a limited amount of time to spend this money, and in some cases, you could be sitting on thousands of dollars you haven’t spent.
When and how can I spend FSA funds?
As long as you’ve got FSA funds to spend, then you can access this account all year. However, everyone has a deadline because these funds are subject to a use-it-or-lose-it rule.
A lot of people had a 4/30 deadline for spending 2024 funds, although your FSA administrator or HR department may have a different deadline for your FSA account. Make sure you check first!
In other cases, you may be eligible for an FSA Grace Period, which is 2.5 months after your yearly plan ends to spend it before it reverts to your employer.
Some accounts allow for up to $640 from one year to be rolled over into the next; so again, it’s worth checking exactly what you’re entitled to spend. You should also know whether you need to claim the money back or if you’ve got an FSA card to cover qualified health expenses.
If you aren’t sure how much you’re allowed to spend on FSA-eligible healthcare products (for yourself, a partner, and children up to age 26, or adult dependents listed on your tax return), the FSA Store has a handy FSA calculator.
Now you’ve got an idea of eligibility and how much you’ve got available, let’s take a closer look at the 10 best FSA-eligible products across a range of medical needs.

You should always check with your employer and/or FSA administrator to find out exactly what your FSA will cover.
