- Allied Irish Bank offers both brick and mortar and Internet banking for residents of both New York and New Jersey. There could be a high minimum balance requirement so be sure to call them at 212-339-8000.
- Alternatives Federal Credit Union is the kind of establishment that serves minorities, women, disadvantaged and low-income folks. Plus, they have an Individual Matching Account for working poor and low-income folks. They also have a 3.1 matching funds offer on the account.
- Bank of New Hampshire uses the NCPS to verify new accounts instead of the ChexSystems record.
- Charter One allow for accounts even with a negative incident in the ChexSystems report. While representatives don’t tend to verify using ChexSystems, they do grant the account for items that show has paid or that you provide proof the account has been completely paid.
- At Columbia-Barnard Federal Credit Union, located on the Columbia University campus, offers all students, faculty, staff, alumni and their relatives a membership.
- Community Bank is not in the habit of checking with ChexSystems to open new accounts.
- The Cross County Federal Savings Bank will permit you to open a savings-only account, which allows you to use PayPal services for EFT and ACH transactions. Plus, after six months, they’ll allow you full checking privileges so long as your account’s in good standing.
- Fulton Savings Bank
- Great Eastern Bank, located in Chinatown, Flushing and Midtown Manhattan, will take on folks who have negative marks on the ChexSystems record.
- Horizons Federal Credit Union
- Ticonderoga Federal Credit Union will grant accounts to people who live within 70 miles of the bank and they do not use ChexSystems to verify the new accounts.
- At Tompkins County Trust Company, you can have an account open regardless of what the ChexSystems record says. If you ask for a debit card, bank representatives will take a closer look at the file.
